I’ve been dying to show off this new album but until now I couldn’t as I’d spoil a surprise. But at last I can.
It’s a chunky 20x20cm with a wide 9cm spine. Lots of room for photos with flaps and extra fold out pages.
It was an absolute joy to create it too. I’ve listed it as a pre order on my web shop which you can find by clicking the link here. The colour and choice of patterned paper were chosen for this specific project so any colour or theme is possible.
I plan to add a wedding album to the family soon too.
The beginning of April felt like it was going to be such a drag to get through the whole month in a lock down situation, with no where to go and no one to see! However it did pretty much fly by with a whole month of sunshine (no rain until a couple of days ago) and plenty of outside chores to do.
I’ve been experimenting with book folds and gone back to where I started in scrapbooking. These albums with a wide spine and wide gaps between page hinges are great for adding bulky embellishments and excellent for keeping everything neat without having stuff bursting out of the sides. Personally I don’t mind a bit of a fat book but not everyone does.
12 x 12 MINI ALBUM
These books make fabulous albums for special occasions and include pockets, flaps and fold out pages for lots of extra space.
LOTS OF FLAPS AND FOLD OUT SPACES
This one has been decorated with a mixture of two paper packs by Simple Stories Vintage Garden District and Vintage Botanicals both from Paper Pen and Plan. It has 4 pages but each page includes an extra fold out page or flap so there’s actually enough space for up to 19 square format photos.
Good morning, well it is right at this moment. The sun has been out for several consecutive days now, I’ve no idea what’s going on? It’s cardie on – cardie off!! Two weeks and I’m off on me holls in gloriously hot Sicily, woo hoo.
Before that though it’s still project doggy proof the garden and my personal get fit campaign and both are progressing nicely. We visited the fur baby (still no name) at the weekend and he’s grown a bit. He spends alot of time outside with his brothers and sisters in the sunshine which is great. Meanwhile I’ve been steadily getting stronger at the hill climb on my mountain bike and pushing myself to go ever higher and I’m happy to say it’s paying off. The morning views are the best.
Anyway, back to the studio and I’ve really caught the travellers notebook bug. I’m not much of a planner person but I’m loving the fauxdori style planner keeping and the best thing is making my own cover and inserts to suit my style.
Over the weekend I decided to go through the papers in the shop and looking at them again made my heart skip. I’m falling in love all over again. Having said that I’ve decided to offer them for sale at 40% or 50% off which is truly a bargain.
This set above is I Am by Simple Stories which is perfect if you love planning as well as scrapping.
