Summer Dandelions

What could say summer more than a dandelion just waiting to explode into the warm air? I think that is probably one of the reasons why I love this stamp set from WOW! Embossing. Teaming it with a simple watercolour background emphasises its delicacy I think!

I created this card for my blog post with WOW! this week which you can see here on their blog.

This version was created as part of the WOW! monthly challenge on Facebook.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

I was very lucky to be sent this beautiful stamp set by Technique Tuesday called ‘Inspired Dragonfly’ which I love. I can see it becoming a firm go to in my craft box.  I also recieved a coordinating die too which you can see on my card below.

And this is what I created with my package.

Collage Workshop

I was very fortunate to be able to give another workshop to the ladies of the Mosaik group recently, where we explored collage art using paper and fabrics. It was a requested theme so I definitely felt the pressure to deliver what they’d asked for.  The ladies embraced the theme whole heartedly and threw themselves into creating collages with found objects and pressed leaves and flowers. The results were beautiful.

I used tea bags, book page, some paint and organza as well as a little hand sewing.

These three I added to my junk journal which I think I’ll be using for collages from now on. Why not keep your own junk journal of collages or just to press flowers and leaves, it’s a lovely way to treasure the memory of a favourite walk or garden plant. Dried tea bags too can be beautiful in a background, adding a little vintage feel on a page. I use the smallest bits of paper sometimes as a tiny splash of colour can really lift a collage.

I hope you have a go for yourself as it’s great fun to do and so easy.

Have a good weekend

KUKI 2019

Wow what a great weekend at KUKI in Kehlen! Given that the weather was all doom and gloom, we were prepared for the worst, but in the end we only had one small shower and the rest of the day was gloriously sunny.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and had tonnes of positive feedback. A huge thanks to all the family and friends who came to support me, it means such a lot. Now its all steam ahead to the next one in September.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover my best sellers were my tiny travelers notebooks which were a bit of a last minute addition just to see how they’d go!

Along with the aged and recycled notebooks which were also popular. I’ll have to get the tea out again for some more tea staining.

I’m concentrating on a new workshop coming up at the beginning of June which is all about collage art and creating small collages to the members of Mosaik. More about that later.

Collage Workshop 1st June 2019

Have a good week.
