Wednesday Update With Making Cards Magazine

I was so excited to learn this week that the Christmas edition of Making Cards Magazine came out with a fantastic article written by the talented Clare Brown.

A whole Three pages worth of how-to using my Town House stamps to create some stunning 3D cards. (It’s only the page opposite Dean Wilson from Create and Craft).

Clare has done an amazing job with my stamps and I couldn’t be happier.

Thank you Clare.

To buy the stamps for yourself you can find them here in my shop.

On Friday I’ll be back to my journal and some Autumn inspiration.

Friday In The Studio And A Look Into My Travel Journal

As promised I thought I’d share a few pictures from my travel journal in my hand made faux dori cover. It was a joy to sit in the evening on the terrace with a glass of vino filling in the day.

The planner side of it didn’t escape my doodling and in fact keeping that up daily helped me if I needed to go back a day or remember where I was for any reason. I love the little calendar with its doodles. I should make stickers out of them.

I selected a few pages to show you not that I bore you with the whole thing.

I used water colours mostly and I took a few stickers and some washi with me too.

When it came to the photos, I knew the size and format I wanted to print them out at so I sketched a box on the page where I would eventually put the photo once I’d printed it out at home and made a small note of which picture it would be.

I’m very excited to plan my Christmas journal now. It won’t be too far away.

Have a good weekend

In this issue I’ve contributed to the 3d challenge feature with a wooden frame I’ve given some mozaic treatment to.  You can buy the magazine here in the online store.

As well as the frame, I’m also given a spot in the Cafe Chat page where I’m giving away two of my Town House stamps to a lucky reader, the Georgian House and the Row Of Houses.

Have a good Wednesday what ever you’re doing.

Monday Chat, Life With A Doggy

Oh my, how our lives have been turned upside down and as I might have hinted at before we’ve gone and got ourselves a little fluffy baby. Well to be truthful, he’s now not so little even at 3 months old. He’s growing fast and is now as big or bigger than quite a few full grown dogs I know. I suspect he’s going to end up almost as big as a donkey! His face easily reaches the table when he stands up on his back legs.

This was taken a few weeks ago when he’d only been with us a week. He’d just been digging in my Veg patch, something he’s become quite good at doing.  He’s an Australian Shepherd crossed with a Collie and is such a beauty.  We’ve named him Cooper.

We love him dearly but this puppy phase is tough for sure. Tough on clothes, skin, nerves and furniture. It doesn’t matter how many You Tube videos you watch about puppy biting, until you actually experience it first hand (or arm) you have no idea how bad it can be. On the plus though I’m really really enjoying the walks, just the two of us in the morning and it’s keeping me in shape too. I’m looking forward to the time I can go further into the forest on a proper hike but for now I’m having to be content with the short walks around the village. If anyone has any tips about gardening with dogs please let me know I’d love to hear. It’s a good job everything has to be cut down now anyway because the garden is becoming trashed!

I’ll update you on our adventures together but for now, happy Monday.
